The world's tallest trees, towering over 200 feet, have long been considered vulnerable to drought. However, a recent study challenges this notion, revealing that these giants have evolved specialized systems to efficiently move water. Researchers studying dipterocarps in Southeast Asia's rainforests discovered that these trees have adapted their internal plumbing to overcome the challenges of height.
